Imagine
one evening that you're relaxing at home with your family. Your
telephone rings and a voice on the other end says "Hello,
I'm Dr. Smith, I understand you're new in town and wondered if
you might consider choosing me as your family doctor." While
you might find this scenario somewhat absurd (professionals don't
cold call people to solicit business) salespeople do.
Professionals build their business by referrals from current and
past clients who are delightfully satisfied with the level of
service they received.
I
don't know about you, but I really resent companies or
salespeople calling me. If a business sends me an offer by mail,
I can choose when and if I give it attention. But when
salespeople call on the phone are an invasion of my privacy and
interrupts my private time. Therefore, we have initiated a
business policy that's rather unique in the real estate industry
as follows:
"We
do not call or email anyone unless
we have an established client relationship or they ask
us to"
And
just to clarify, unless we have a current or past client relationship this means that we won't call or email you, unless you request
us to. And if you appreciate receiving professional real
estate service when you ask for my assistance, we hope you'll reward us by letting your friends and family know about me and
the unique way we practice real estate.
